I will prob just throw a pinned 14.5 on it and call it a day.

I'd like to have something a little more accurate than the sks/ak

Money really isn't a object. I just wanted to hear from people who actually owned a short barrel ar. Not the tactical mall ninja type.

My sks is alright as far as accuracy, but I have not made any of my own reload for it.

Can anyone who has a AK get consistent softball size groups at 200 yards . I'd really like this kind of accuracy. Right now my sks is pie plate with off the shelf stuff

I'm waiting on my paperwork to comeback from the A.T.F. on my SBR.

The reason behind me building it boiled down to 1.) It looks cool and I want one and 2.) I intend to do some more carbine courses and ease my way into 3 gun, and I want something a little out of the ordinary for that.

I intend to suppress my SBR as soon as I get the paperwork back.

BTW, I did a Spikes Tactical stripped lower, installed the parts kit, then picked up a Model 1 upper with a 10.5" BMG barrel. It currently has an EOTech sitting on top of it. I went with a Magpul CTR stock.

      That's it so far.

        Same boat.

        1) It REALLY looks cool with a DD rail on it and no normal fronts sight post
        2) I got it in 5.45x39 caliber so I can shoot cheap surplus ammo to my hearts content (.12 c/round)
        3) I like to exercise my right as a Texas Citizen to own something other people in other states cant have.

Just curious, what is the purpose of pinning a 14.5" to 16". Why do you like that better than a 16"?

Shorter overall length, lighter front end, correct timing with carbine length gas system
