I've got one as well that I picked up earlier this year from one of the board members. It's one of two guns I regularly conceal carry (the other is a Kimber Ultra Carry) and it's my first non-Glock polymer gun. Finally took it out to the range and it fits my hand just fine and it's pretty accurate for my eyes. I'm sure it will be every bit as reliable as any of my Glock's that I've had (I'm Glockless for the first time in like 17 years) and I actually like the take down better.

As far as carry, I bought it because I wanted something with a little more capacity than a 1911 in a package I didn't mind carrying during the summer months and sweating all over. It's heavy though so make sure you have a good holster and belt which I've really helps. Mine has the slide safety which I really don't care for. I'll post some pictures up later with the holster.

Big XD fan. I like it overall better than Glock. It personally fits me better, and is more comfortable to shoot.

I don't have a 4" compact, but I have a regular one with a 5" barrel. It's had a lot of rounds through it and been as tough as nails, and it still shoots pretty damned well!

Nothing wrong with the XDs at all. I played with them after I had my Glock and prefer my Glock. It may be to due me being used to my Glock. If I not mistaken though, you get more accessories with the XD when you buy. Although the Gen 4 Glocks have some extras.

I have a XD45 4" but its a full size not compact. holds 13 rounds in the mags. It shoots awesome. Not too big not too small. Doesn't kick too bad, very nice gun. I keep it in my truck everywhere I go.
