    I don't think that will make or break my decision. I just know I'll eventually want a really long AR based rifle.

      Then I think, eventually you'll want to look at an AR-10 for a larger bullet AR. To make the most of those bigger bullets and longer barrels, you're going to need to be able to build some pressure. It's tough to do in an AR-15 platform, but not impossible.
