Id get the AAC m42k before the Tek T. It's full auto rated, QD attached, and the specs are almost identical. Plus you can still get them with the mount from dealers for $800 or so. Granted it's a wash with Gemtech covering the tax.

Are Gemtechs a quality product? Are you able to take them apart to clean them? I am wanting to get one in the next couple months for my sig 522.

My net is crawling right now since I'm migrating servers. What's the cheapest .30 cal suppressor they are covering the $200 tax stamp on?

They're only covering the stamp on that model.

gtfo. ghey.... so ghey. I don't need a .223 suppressor... why would I want to suppress a supersonic round? You can fire an AR15 without hearing protection, they are not that loud.

It's something they do every once in a while. Next time it'll be a different caliber I'm sure.

Let's see some .45, .30, or .22 and then we'll talk. The last thing I would want a can on is my .223 AR's.

Lol at an ar not being loud.

Putting a can on it is cool and does make it quieter, but unless you're hiding from your target like it's meant to be they're useless.

Guys, hearing loss is gradual and painless. And once its gone - it is not repairable.

Popping off an AR without hearing protection is going to damage your hearing. It may not give you muffled hearing after a few shots, but cumulatively you will suffer hearing loss. You will likely not even notice it until you start wondering why you start having to turn things up louder or dont hear things that you used to have no problem with.

Protect your hearing at every point if you have the opportunity. I'm only 37, but i've got 40% loss in my right and 35% in my left. And let me tell you, saying "huh?" "say again?" "whaaaaat?" isnt as funny as a Lil Jon skit when you really cant hear whats going on.

                        / off soapbox

Tame my ass. I'm just as deaf as the next, but ARs are ear ringers.

                            Any reason that Trek-T wouldn't work on a .22LR?
ZOMBIE REAGAN FOR PRESIDENT 2016!!! heh

The main disadvantage is .22 is dirty, and would lower the life of the can.

As for the hearing protection, I don't wear it for hunting, I have to hear what's going on. Amplified headphones don't do the job. I honestly am not bothered by a .223 when its in the open.
