I was at the local gun show yesterday and saw some scopes/accessories branded "Target Sports Tactical" - (black box/ gold writing). Has anyone ever heard of these?

I googled but the only place that I could see them was on CDNN's site, which doesn't have a lot of info. They were also the ones selling them at the show.

Here is the one I was looking at

It appears to be identical to this NCStar scope:

Just looking for opinions... Thanks in advance!

NCStar is probably the lowest quality optics there are. Do not waste your money man. At around $350 zoom optics start to be worth the money you pay for them. Anything below that with the exception of some primary arms stuff is a waste of money.

heh, I have something similar to that. Once I get it unpacked it's going into the trash can. I swapped it for iron sights, I could see the targets better that way.

Yeah seriously NCStar is shit dude. I'm not trying to rain on your parade because I'm a cheap ass too.
It will find it's way to the trash like so much other chinese garbage.
          Mine did.

Yeah, I'm not looking to buy just yet - I'm getting used to the flip-ups right now. At the show the Target Sport Tactical stuff looked OK - it wasn't until right before I posted that I found the similarity between it and the NCstar stuff.

Most of the optics at the gun show are absolute trash. If anyone has 750 "scopes" on their table, it's junk shit.

I'm not into optics too much, but two that I have bought are still holding zero to this day with hardly any calibrating. Walther PS22 red dots are great. They come with cantilever mounts and hold zero. I have had one on my .223, 5.45x39, and my Saiga .308. They have never lost zero.

Just ask Big Muskie how accurate the Walther was on my 5.45x39 SBR (when it worked )
