New to me Armalite AR10

Picked up an Armalite AR10T with 24 SS bull barrel, Magpul Adjustable Stock, 2 stage trigger. I still have to save and find a scope for it(I did not purchase one in pic), but I'm happy with my purchase.

Anyone know the best place $ wise to pick up a couple extra mags for it.

I don't think the pmag will fit, my friend has the dpms version and his pmag's won't fit the receiver of mine.

I really like 308 Ar's of any type. Armalite is probably amazing.

Can you give me an idea of why AR-10 vs some of the other 308 AR's out there?
realistically not much difference huh?

The longer barrel helps increase muzzle velocity which helps with distance some, I've shot a dpms and another armalite, both 24" bull barrel guns. The dpms was set up like this gun with the stock and an adjustable 2 stage, the armalite stock from factory. They both shoot same accuracy to 500 yds(all we've been able to do locally).

The scope pictured I didn't buy, it was on the gun when it was listed and I stole the pic from the ad.

I bought armalite for mainly the reason of cost. One of our local shops had the best price I've seen on a dpms, but didn't know how long to get one in stock. For what I gave for this gun with the stock and trigger, and it's had 100 or less rounds through it, I couldn't have bought the dpms and added the accessories for what I gave for this one.

I look forward to getting a nice scope and doing some shooting with it. Bagram? is that in the Mediterranean? If I'm thinking right that's where my buddy got off his Destroyer when he discharged from the Navy. His boat was responsible for 32 Tomahawks into Afghanistan after 9-11, before his duty ended.

True, Armalite AR-10 uses different mags, and most other parts, than the DPMS LR-308
