  • Sig 556 Patrol SWAT

Since I sold my Bushmaster a couple of months ago, I've been on the hunt for it's replacement and found a Sig Sauer 556 Patrol SWAT for $1050. Is this a good deal on a used 556?

I saw them cheaper at the last Market Hall gun show. My old man paid $800 for his, certified pre-owned.

But is $800 what you've normally seen them for or was that an extremely good deal? Also what's the difference between the SWAT Patrol and the other 556's?

$800 to $900 seemed to be a pretty standard price on them.

The Swat patrol has a side-folding stock (not just collapsible), a picatinny rail, integral folding front a rear sights (that are really shitty, but nonetheless present), and a 16 inch barrel instead of an 18 inch (like the regular swat).

        Here is a Swat Patrol-

        And a regular Swat-

Note: The flash hiders on these guns are also quick attach suppressor mounts.

Edit: I just looked it up and I think they both are 16" barrels, but one has a longer picatinny rail.

800 seems good.. It wasnt a year ago that they were 1200+ for the non railed version... I know cause I wanted one to match my patrol issue Sig 226. I hate sig pistols, but that rifle is tits.

$800 is good but only if I can find it easly at a gun show. Unfortunately I haven't been to a gun show in years and I have more money than time so I'm going to go with this. I've looked at all the broker sites but locally at nationally and this seems like a good deal so I'm going to go for the $1050. I found one in Houston that throws in a scope but I'm not waiting on it. I may flip it late as I really wanted a Ruger SR556 because the take down is familiar but I'm really like the Sig folding stock right now. Might sell it later. gonna buy it tomorrow night.

So I'm thinking about backing out of this deal now because I found that the Classic SWAT sells for $1099 brand new at CDNN and Bachman Pawn & Gun so it's not as great of a deal as I thought when buying from a store.

But they were loose before you got to them right?

I probably wouldn't mess with 'em otherwise!
