The only thing I know about the Hobbit is from the cartoon movie. That picture of the three dwarves reminds me of The Lost Vikings. I never knew Drizzit Do'Urden was from D & D. I got introduced to that series from a friend in Jr High. I liked the character but I stopped reading after the 3rd book. I've tried watching the LOTR trilogy and just couldn't get into it.

I wonder if there will be a new character that specializes in bjj and passive agressive comebacks?

If there was, I wouldn't pick it because it would probably just keep leaving the game and then coming back like nothing happened.

I heard something about this being the first movie shot at twice the fps than the current standard, and that only 1,000 theaters or so are capable at playing it as intended. Anyone have any more details?

Peter Jackson released a behind the scenes video a while back, and he's got a ridiculous amount of 3D cameras for this setup, and yes, he's supposedly shooting at twice the frame rate as normal. The upside is, the darker colors will look a lot better than normal 3D, and some of the people that have seen the dailies have reported that they look way better than films that have been converted to 3D, like the Harry Potter films, or the Last Airbender. I'm so ready for this.

I bet alot of people will complain. My projector has a interpolation setting that will bump up frame rate to 60 fps and makes everything look like a soap opera. Very life like movement but most people who see it dont like it. Just doesnt look "right" to them. I use it alot on video games and sports although it doesnt do much in both those cases because the frame rates are already pretty high.
