Where did you see it? I'm thinking about hitting up Northpark tomorrow morning to see it in Imax HFR 3D (the High Frame Right version) just to see what all the hype is about.

I live South of Austin so I saw it down here.

Saw it today. Great to spend more time in middle earth. I particularly liked the Erebor flashbacks. Can't wait for the desolation of Smaug.

I saw it last night, pretty much what I was expecting. it was well done, can't wait for the next two. I expect them to get progressively better.

Yeah the high def was crazy . Almost fake. I loved it.

Of course. I know they take care of the necromancer as there is mention of it in one of the books. But I don't believe there is a written story of that tale.

Damn, talk about sensory overload. I was surprised how good this was. Watched in 3d with my son. Im going to go back and watch it in the imax version within the next few days.

Is it for both digital and 3d imax thats filmed in 48fps? Im about to watch it in imax 3d.
