Just got back from watching this. It surprised me. It was very good. I liked that it wasn't all about them taking over. The way they approached this movie was brilliant. Ceaser grows up with the urge to be free. Even though he's being cared by humans he considers family he realises that he is not on equal standings with them. Even with his own kind he still felt like an outcast because he was different. He realises the humans have treated them wrong and unites the apes in order to gain their freedom. He doesn't want to injure or harm all humans, just the ones that threatened them. In the end when they've reached their main goal, Ceaser is finally able to view himself as an equal and no longer feels he's beneath humans. He does show compassion for a few. The way it ended I hope they make another one because I want to see more of the outcome from the 113 virus and what will lead Ceaser to enslave the humans.

I agree, good movie. Typical let down from the previews though. The movie was 90% set up, 10% parts from the trailer. I liked how they approached the idea and the progression it took. I know it happenes all the time in labs, zoo's, habitats, etc, but I still never like seeing mis treatment of animals.

Overall a decent flick, a few good parts, but really it is a DVD purchase and a night at home with the family kind of movie.

Watched this on HBO. I enjoyed it. I really felt bad for that Chimp. Pretty good job at getting the chimps feelings across.

I want to see an all out war now. Hopefully they make a movie to show the next chapter.

Remember that scientist guy died because he inhaled the drug in error. He got sick went to see his friend the Doctor main characters house, that neighbor came out and he sneezed on him. He was a piolit.

Near the very end your see neighbor come out, going on a flight, you see him in airport he stops you notice that his nose starts to bleed like the first guy that died. It ends there but not really. You see a light beam start from the US and then going from one country to the next. Those are suppose to be flights, so the first flight from the polit got people sick, then it spreads like wild fire, since it's airborn now.

Once, you see a light beam aka meaning a flight hit a city, it spreads and takes off to another country. Ending back in the US. It zooms out and shows what's suppose to be the entire planet infected.

All humans dead, Rise of the Apes.

Go back to HBO and watch the very end again. Can't miss it. I did first time, and I believe that's what is meant at the end.

So, that's why it's called Rise of the Planet Apes

The original Rise of the Planet of the Apes took place in present day. They could easily explain human survivors as having descended from those that were immune to the virus.

This is kind of what i was thinking and maybe the loss of their voice is the side effect.
