New AMC show, The Killing

I decided to watch this show and have absolutely loved it so far. The sparse dialog and just letting the mood and images speak works very well.

AMC does a good job with this in all of their shows. Breaking Bad is even slow, but it's so damn intense. The subtle looks, comments, it's crazy how intense that show is. And from what I've seen, so are all of their other originals.

Watched Sundays episode last night. Man, parts of this show really get to me, brings back memories.

Nice little twist last night. So, all the sneaky shit that Bennett has been doing, is due to the little Somali girl and not Rosie. So they would have you believe Bennett Ahmet and Muhammed are out as suspects on the murder.

Anyone have any new ideas as to who might have done it? How she wound up in the trunk of the car, etc? I figured out it couldn't have been Bennett, as they were focusing on him too much and that would kill the plot. I think the friend, Sterling I think, might have something to do with it. She has fallen completely out of the story line. I'm thinking either she knows something, or Mayor Adams does. Just a hunch.

Last Sunday's episode was Rosie's funeral, right? That's about all I remember from it. Just a recap on any big plot twists will be sufficient, if you don't mind.

No, I think that was the week or two week's prior. Last week, Linden and the junkie cop were arrested by the FBI, following up on an address given to them by an anonymous Muslim. Turns out, FBI was already looking in to Muhammed over possible terrorist ties. Linden and her partner broke in to this meat locker, found a bedroom setup, lots of dolls, girl's clothes, etc. Pretty much tying Muhammed to Bennett, and Rosie. The focal point was of a pink Grand Canyon t shirt, later confirmed by Mich to be Rosie's. Now they just had to get get evidence that wasn't circumstantial, so they could get a warrant. Junky cop puts an illegal wire tap on Bennett's phone, and they are heard speaking in Arabic, but at the end of the convo, Bennett states in English "The passports will be here tomorrow, call me when they arrive." As for other notables, Linden starts tailing her partner over her suspicions about him. She followed him to what turned out to be a Narcotics Anonymous meeting. Oh, and the leak of all the crime scene photos - Turns out it was Linden's son who leaked them. Emailed them to all his friends. Mich confronts Linden over the leaked photos, she saw them on the news. Rips her a new one. Bennett was told by the Principal that he needed to take a leave of absence. Stan emptied out Rosie's room, packed everything up. Mich was pissed, and drug it all back out. Oh, and when she saw the photos on the news, she inadvertently left the boys in the running car in the garage, with the door closed. Her sister found them, still alive thankfully. She confronted Stan, and they way it played out, it was almost as if Stan thought he was about to get his dick wet in his sister in law. I think that's about it.

After watching the beating at the end of the episode i'm not too sure that stan's friend and business associate/partner might not be behind it either. He was pretty excited to get to whompin' and a whoompin', him hitting the rock repeatedely after stan called him off the first time is what really put that in the back of my mind. I still think the mayor might also be behind it as well.

I got an odd vibe from that, but not that he had anything to do with the murder really. I kind of more got the feeling that there might have been something going on with the daughter and him.

Either way, it does add an interesting perspective. His mob past, etc.

Exactly. It's not like he doesn't know how to steal a car, after all. Maybe the fact that it was registered to the councilman was just a coincidence. We'll know for sure in four more weeks!

That is yet to be determined. It is a great show, but twin peaks was a great one as well. Twin peaks carried on for two seasons though. The typical david lynch mindfuck helps a lot. Drunk right now.
