Well this wasn't my dads superman. I wasn't blown away, but it was a good movie.
I thought the film lacked some comedy. Also, someone tell zack Snyder to keep the damn camera still. It Drove me nuts.
Doomsday is the next logical step. Then darkseid.Comment

Comedy. I keep reading that this movie lacked comedy. Wtf were people expecting? Especially the critics. These same idiots praised world war z as a great movie. It was stated that this movie was nothing like Donner's and Singer's version, which were campy and cartoonish. For christ sake, Christopher Nolan was a part of making this movie. Those dumbasses shouldve known the tone would be different. You know that if there was comedy that they would've bitched about it. Critics don't critique anymore, they just bitch. I will say that despite all of the flashbacks I feel like I didn't really get to "know" Superman/Clark Kent. That's really my only complaint about the movie. I caught this over the weekend and thought it was OK. Not great... Not like when I saw the first Christopher Nolan Batman. I liked how they delved a little more into what happened on Krypton but didn't care for the story line around Lois Lane. Didn't they grew up in Smallville together? And for her to find out his identity like that? I didn't care for it honestly.
Caught it in 3D as well because I missed the earlier non 3D version. I hate this trend in movies now a days. There was nothing really gained by doing this in 3D and it just comes off as a gimmick. Granted at least there weren't any over the top 3D effects added in for the sake of adding 3D but I would have preferred to have saved my money and seen it on a non 3D screen. Maybe IMAX might have better served this movie but I won't spend the extra money on it either unless it's something I really want to see.Comment

No Lois lane did not grow up in smallville with Clark. That was Lana Lang, two different people. I know the show smallville changed how that was but the cartoons, original movies and comics all have them meeting at the daily planet.Originally posted by Jose View PostComment

Saw it yesterday and liked it. Not great, but pretty good. It covered a lot of ground, especially earlier events on Krypton. Now, a gripe on theater concessions: I pretty much eat a large bucket of popcorn (with a refill, of course) and I got some bad stuff yesterday. I went back up to the counter and told the nice little girl that "I don't mind paying $7 for .20 worth of popcorn, but let's be sure that shit is edible". She grinned and apologized and refilled it from a freshly-popped batch. But, DAMMIT!Comment
