I've already posted twice in this thread. I was watching some videos on G4's comic-con coverage and they had some clips from the movie. The director said "I think we have a bit more story to tell since it takes place in a time where things were actually happening." Meaning WWII, yet it looks like Captain America is fighting an army of Cobra Commandos. Not Nazis.

Dunno if it was just us, but after the credits they played The Avengers trailer where you got to see Loki, thor, Hawkye, Stark and Cap America all onboard the SHIELD ship.

It wasn't just you. You have to sit through ALL the credits to see the "trailer"

Funny - you see the previews and think you have anything to contribute on the plot? Everything you bitch about is explained in the movie....you know, that thing the trailer is just supposed to hint at.

When you were in school (you DID go to school right?) did you just read the Cliffs Notes or did you ever bother to read a real book?

I watched it this afternoon. I liked it, the action didn't really drop off. They didn't spend too much time on the backstory. The effects were good and it landed in the correct timing to meet up with the next movie. Tied into the sneak preview from the incredible hulk too(close enough).


Then after the credits rolled they showed the Avengers full trailer.

How did it tie in closely to the incredible hulk?? Only reference in that movie was the super soldier program.

But it was left on the DVD for everyone to see, close enough for government work.

Must be in the extras because I've seen it on bluray a lot and its not in the movie.




But back to the movie. Just got back and it does have that WWII vibe. It really captured that era. I like the nod to Bucky being Captain America in the comics. They really tied in Thor, The Incredible Hulk, and Ironman into this movie but didn't put too much emphasis on them. Hugo Weaving was perfect as Red Skull. The action never faded, it stays consistent throughout the film. I also enjoyed that they dressed him up in a cheesy outfit of his suit. I liked how it looked, the upgraded suit was well thought out. My only problem is that they didn't go into detail how they found Rogers and how they brought him back. Overall i give this movie 4 out of 5 red skulls.


Btw Poopnut, Hitler does make an appearance.

Also stay until the credits end after it says Captains American will return in The Avengers. The trailer has me stoked for next year. Avengers Unite!!!!
