Bill Nye isn't necessarily pushing the "global warming will destroy the earth" argument (though he believes it will) -- simply that solar/wind power, electric cars, and preserving water are good for the economy in the long run. Less dependency on terrorist-breeding countries. Don't have to fight wars for oil when you create your own energy. It makes sense to understand it all. Simply denying any of it is useful is ignorant.
Not to mention our own military believes climate change poses a huge risk:

When the experts are so wrong about the conclusion, you question the hypothesis.
A doctored TIME magazine cover warns of a coming ice age. But the reality remains that the world is warming, thanks chiefly to human action
At least give us something credible to chew on, where we might find more interesting quotes like:
"This hypothesis had little support in the scientific community, but gained temporary popular attention due to a combination of a slight downward trend of temperatures from the 1940s to the early 1970s and press reports that did not accurately reflect the full scope of the scientific climate literature, which showed a larger and faster-growing body of literature projecting future warming due to greenhouse gas emissions.[1] The current scientific opinion on climate change is that the Earth has not durably cooled, but underwent global warming throughout the 20th century.[2]"

Will you backtrack and admit you just posted false news? Or, do as Bill Nye thinks anti-scientists will do, and double-down?2004 Z06 Commemorative Ed.
