I liked the first 5-6 episodes a lot, but just expected more after that, once they started getting ramped up to go fight. There were just several parts that were very predictable and kind of corny towards the end.

To me, it was a mix of Poltergeist, Firestarter, and Goonies. In fact, I almost felt like they were blatantly stealing major themes from these flicks, at times.

I definitely liked it as a whole, though. I'd watch a second season.

He's not the only one. I thought it was extremely overrated and highly contrived. I know that, just like the gays, Brent and I seem to be in the minority, but that's really just because we have better taste than everyone.
