    And it's on Netflix. Watched it last night and loved it. If you like Mustangs at all, this is worth watching.

    A FASTER HORSE tells the story of the Ford Mustang, one of the world's most iconic and recognizable cars. It follows the team entrusted with upholding the legacy of the brand in creating the 2015 model, now 50 years from the original release, while exploring the parallels that exist between past and present day. The Mustang’s astonishing history is told through a combination of rare archival footage with Henry Ford II, exclusive access inside Ford facilities and the personal stories of former and current Mustang designers, as well as passionate fans and collectors.         I watched it last month and enjoyed it. I especially enjoyed hearing discussions between the bean counters and the engineers, and how much discussion there was over what seems like a mundane part.

          Yeah, while it was cool to hear how complicated the production process is, I was more interested in the design and history parts. I particularly dug the cool old guy (dangit, can't remember his name) who's clay model was chosen for the first gen when they were still considering calling it the Cougar.

          I was about to roll a single tear with him at the 50th celebration part.

              It's really well done. It's great, toward the beginning the camera follows the chief engineer through a door with a giant sign on it talking about "absolutely no cameras or recording devices" and shows everything, right into the room they're designing the 2015 in, which happens to be the same room they designed the 1965 Mustang in.

                              I had to watch it again last night. Pretty damn great.

                              Apparently Gale Halderman, the cool old guy that did the clay model that was chosen for the '65 has his own private Mustang Museum on his farm in Ohio. Pretty neat.
