Anyone used a G-box?

Friend of mine was saying that she bought one and can get hbo, netflix, hulu, showtime,etc... for free. I want to ditch my cable tv service if possible and just do streaming. Im all for it but if I cant get HBO and regular tv channels/shows then Im not sure Ill talk the wife into it.
