Can't believe we don't have a thread on this yet. Has anyone seen it? We saw it Friday night, and I can't remember the last time I've laughed so hard at a movie. Maybe it's because I had low expectations, I don't know. It was definitely worth the price of admission though.

Surprisingly, Lebron was funny. John Cena's character was awkward as shit, and he played it well.

I thought Lebron got the best laughs. I was a little let down, but it was pretty good overall.

The Cobra and the Hammer said it was awesome. I just haven't got around to seeing any movies this summer.

That's the only reason I agreed to go see it. They were cracking the fuck up during that segment. The woman wanted to go, so I reluctantly agreed. I'm glad I did.

I am apparently really out of the loop on who Amy Schumer(sp?) is. I think I can convince the wife to watch it.

She has her moments. I haven't seen her show, but she is pretty funny at times in the stand up bits I've seen. She sometimes comes off as trying too hard, but I appreciate her self deprecating style. I think she is absolutely over exposed at the moment. I see her going the way of the blue collar guys. Hard and fast, then fizzle out. But the movie was funny as shit imo.

We went to go see it a couple of weeks ago and thought it was decent. I don't think it lived up to what she's done with her show the last couple of years, but the movie will really help get her name out there. We both think she's hilarious and are happy to see things really kicking off for her and how humble she's been so far. If you guys aren't watching her show on Comedy Central, Inside Amy Schumer, you should be. I've always been fairly critical of female comedians, but Amy is a comedic genius. She respects the art and her predecessors. It was cool how she cast Colin Quinn and Dave Attell in the movie as well. She looks up to them quite a bit.

Funny side story: Colin Quinn was on Fallon few weeks ago promoting the movie and a personal project. He shows Jimmy a picture of a dog shitting on a book on the sidewalk in New York. It was a text from Amy Schumer. The side project was the release of Colin's book and she made it a point to take a break from her crazy schedule, buy the book the morning it came out, place it beneath her dog as he took a shit and text it to Colin first thing that day.

I wish Dave had a bigger role in the movie. The opening scene, where Colin is trying to explain why they are getting a divorce was pure gold. It set the tone for the entire movie.

Agreed. I kick myself to this day for not watching more of Insomniac when it was on the air. I really hope the wave lasts a while for Amy and I think she can play big part in making that happen.

I like Amy Schumer alot. I don't remember where I saw her say something about people calling her over weight, and her response was I'm 160 lbs and I can go in any town and get dick every night... Lol.

Inside Amy Schumer is the best skit comedy show since Dave Chapelle IMO.
