  • Concerts on Blu-Ray

I finally got around to getting a receiver with HDMI switching and a Blu-Ray player. I'm not looking for movies, but would love to find some good concerts on Blu-Ray. I can listen to music over and over, movies not so much.

I'm a big fan of 90's rock and alternative and I'm not finding shit. What are some good concerts on Blu-Ray you've seen and recommend?

Not available on Blu-Ray, only DVD. At least not that I can find, I'm having the same issue with everything I want to buy. I appreciate the suggestion.

Thanks. I'm pretty disappointed with the BR selection, but that's a start.

I'm not a fan of the article/list linked in the AVS thread, but read through the replies for more ideas. Also, just start googling shit or punch a few of those into Amazon, and it will start suggesting a bunch of others.

The Dave and Tim Blu-ray will change your life, even if you don't think you like that kind of music. All of the ones I mentioned above are way better than I expected, and will rock out on a good setup.

All of your suggestions are solid, but I just can't do Dave Mathews. I like maybe two of their songs, and for some reason I can't stand anything else. And I've heard from lots of different people how good they are live, etc. It's not that I don't like that type of music, I just don't like them

It's not Dave Matthews Band. It's just Dave and Tim Reynolds, who does crazy shit with a guitar. It's nothing like DMB at all. Not the least bit similar. Trust me. Buy it. Watch it. Thank me later.

I'll give it a shot. I'm all about the sound, if it exercises my amp and speakers I'll be happy with that.

Through the Never is on Blue-Ray. I started watching it on Netflix a while back and I only watched about 1/2 of it. I'm a HUGE Metallica fan, but I didn't care for the movie/story thrown in the mix. I want all music.

I like Dave but I'm not a huge fan, but it's a great concert and sounds incredible.
