I've seen Tool twice, and APC once, and I wasn't all that impressed with them live. I mean the set and extras on the stage were cool, but musically I didn't think it was anything special.

I first saw Metallica on the And justice for all tour and have seen them about 10 times since, the last few times they flat out sucked and I have no desire to ever see them again.
I went to the Iron Maiden's Somewhere back in time concert in 08 and it was hands down the best live show I have ever seen. The 1985 retro stage show and the band was flawless.
Alice Copper is also great live and worth seeing.
AC/DC has always put on a damn good no bs strait forward rock concert.

AC/DC seen them in Little Rock, AR
Tom Petty saw them in St Louis, MO
Social Distortion saw them in Dallas, TX
i could list more but these were my favorites because they sounded great live and i know all their songs very well so it made it fun to see 'em!

I saw the Toadies live, and it was a letdown. They only played about 6 songs in Dallas for the St Patty's Day thing on Greenville back in 2006. It was also supposed to be their very last show. They've done several since then. Lame. I still like their music, though.
I have favorites in different types of music. Hard to name just 3 overall, but I guess I'd have to say:
1. Pearl Jam (mainly eveything 1995 and older, but I always like seeing them live)
2. Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds (not the entire band)
3. Wu-Tang Clan (and all of their spin-off solo albums)
Some others who hang close to the top for me would include Tool, Rage, Chevelle, Tupac, Hank Jr, Willie, Outkast, and AerosmithLast edited by jluv; 09-30-2011, 06:50 AM.
