It's a 3.5 hour movie of some faggy hobbits walking through a field.
This is why I want a movie out of the Simarillion. It is alot more action and more death. It has a more epic sweep of a grander time with bigger villains and heroes.
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776
So I'm surprised no one has updated this. Has anyone seen it yet? I've actually gone to the theater twice to see it. First time, the IMAX screening at Northpark had the projector "crashing" and they gave us vouchers to see it another time. We went the following day and finally got to watch the movie in it's entirety. What sucked was having to deal with the Christmas traffic at Northpark TWICE! And having to buy snacks and drinks a second time. Another epic battle and great movie, it was worth the trouble.
I'll have a week off during the holiday, so I'm hoping I can scrounged 3 hours to go see this. Saw the first two in video...want to see the "final" chapter on the big screen.

I liked these, but not nearly as much as LOR. This story was too drawn out, they could have easily told it in one or two shorter films. I was happy this last one was closer to 2 hours long than 3.
