I'm sure there's not too many old school punk fans, but I just watched this movie for the first time, and encourage you to see it. It's a great archival-type history of the famous CBGB club in NYC, and an excellent tribute to Hilly Kristal.

He helped develop the "punk" scene in the US, which many of the bands he helped to launch you may not even consider punk. Blondie, The Ramones, The Police, The Talking Heads.... Great docudrama, I highly recommend.

I was into punk in a huge way back in the 80s.... Anyone remember the Circle A Ranch or the Theater Gallery. ...? Twilight Room? Saw quite a few shows there. ... Dead Kennedys, DRI, Black Flag, MEAT Men, The Dicks...... .

Well, it appeared they were trying to tie it in to the magazine. I was mainly interested in the story. The execution of the movie wasn't the greatest.
