  • Have you ever been expercienced......well I have

Wow- incredible show last night at Verizon, The Experience Hendrix show did not disappoint. I had my doubts going in but with the line up and the way they put the show together it was outstanding.

It started with Billy Cox, Chris Layton and two Hendrix impersonators (Stan Skibby and Dani Robinson) doing a few songs.

Dweezil Zappa was next with Cox and Layton for a song

The Eric Johnson, Mato Nanji (Indigenous) with Cox and Layton for 5 songs. Johnson was amazing as usual as he is so technically correct and has that signature tone.

They decided to turn up a notch before break and bring out Zakk Wlyde to do two songs 'speed metal' style-damn that guy plays loud.

After break it was the soulful Doyle Brammhall II- he did 3 songs I believe but I could have used more.

Then next was Jonny Lang and Brad Whitford(Aersosmith) for a few songs followed by Kenny Wayne Shepherd who just tore it up for 3 songs. I think his version of Voodoo Child had to be close to 20minutes- freaking amazing.

The night was capped off with Buddy Guy's band at the end joined by Mato Nanji and Noah Hunt on vocals.

The concert was about 3hr 45 minutes with a 15 minute intermission overall.

I would recommend the show to anyone who loves Hendrix and wants to see so really different arrangements of classic songs.

Damn I forgot about Eric Gales doing a few numbers and two different badass guys on bass Tony 'fretless' Franklin and ? Nelson alternating between the artists. Both of the guys playing bass were great.
