Can't find a thread for this, thought there was one. Anywho, I'm 5 minutes into it and already annoyed. They are working on a railroad in "Texas" that is clearly Monument Valley in Southern Utah talking about how they are about to join the nation by railroad, which happened in Northern Utah. What do these assholes have against Utah?

It's not Texas.

Actually, I bet it works better for the film globally since most of the world can pick out Texas on a map, but never even heard of Utah.

My 5 year old boy enjoyed it. I took him to see it because he is the demo for it. I didn't expect anything, so I had no reason to be disappointed. It opened up dialogue about trains, cowboys, indians, the west, etc so that was a side benefit.

Way too long and drawn out. I wish the Lone Ranger wasn't such a puss. He should have never ditched the mask at all. Johnny Depp made the movie decent. He's always amazing. The ending was dumb.

I agree. They could have shortened it big time, and probably improved the story in the process. Not a terrible movie, but not memorable either.
