  • Bond. James Bond.

We've got threads for the latest couple of movies, but figured we should have one for the older ones in general.

The first Bond movie I remember seeing was A View to a Kill(which has the best movie poster out of all of them, btw). Watched the 2 Dalton movies on HBO after they came out, then saw Goldeneye in the theater since I was finally old enough, and have seen every Bond movie in the theater since. When I was 23, I went to Blockbuster and just started renting every one of them until I had seen them all in order.

Been running a marathon of them since Christmas, watched Live and Let Die, The Spy Who Loved Me, The Living Daylights, License To Kill, Goldeneye, The World Is Not Enough, Die Another Day, Casino Royale, and Quantum of Solace. I know, sacrilege, I haven't thrown in any with Connery yet. Forgot how much I liked the Brosnan era films. Goldeneye has to be one of the tops, and the boat chase in Live and Let Die is fantastic. I've got 5 more on dvd, thinking about buying the entire bluray collection.

What's your fav? Which one do you remember seeing first?

The only bond movie I have ever watched was License TO Kill when i was a little kid and i thought it was stupid. It left a bad taste in my mouth and I just never have given any of them another chance.

Edit: i watched one from the 90's or early 2000 with Pierce Brosnan and thought it was really dumb.

I agree. I just can't force myself to sit through one. I just have to man up and do it. Probably with one of the first ones.

Start with Goldfinger. Dr. No is pretty bad and cheesy, even as far as 007 films go. Or, even start with some of the newest films. Casino Royale and Skyfall are fantastic.

I think Octopussy was the first one I saw as a kid. At least it's the first I remember seeing.

I also forgot the opening of Six Underground from The Sneaker Pimps is a sample of when Bond discovers the girl painted gold in Goldfinger.

"For your eyes only" was my 1st bond movie.... I think sean Connery, Roger Moore, daniel Craig (so far) are the best bond actors

Fucking hate Daniel Craig. James Bond is not a blonde pretty boy.

IMO, Moore was the best. I know it is campy, but Moonraker is my favorite one.

My top 3 Bond flicks have always been, in this order:
                          1. From Russia with Love
                          2. View to a Kill (Because Christopher Walken, duh.)
                          3. Golden Eye (Chock full of greatness)

The first Daniel Craig one. I never thought anyone would be better than Sean Connery but I like Craig a bit more.

                              Watch the Craig movies.
They really have a more realistic feel to them, and I think they're the darkest of all.
