I saw that as well when looking on Amazon. Looked pretty interesting. Going to see if I can find a copy before buying

Just read it over the last 6 hours. Excellent book! One I wouldn't mind reading again.

A good series in a similar vein. I really enjoyed these.

Finished it over a 24 hour period. And it only took me that long because I had other things to do. Would have been a perfect book to read outside over this weekend or Friday when I was camping if I wasn't already distracted. Good book. Doubt the movie will do it justice just because I see Tom Cruise's character has a rank of Lt. Colonel or something or other.

Next on my list. Thanks for the recommendation Yale.

I should add, I love the Google Play store. I uploaded a copy I had to it and I was able to read it between my phone and my tablet and it would automatically sync up to whatever page I left on.

My birthday is the day it comes out. I feel like buying myself a present and seeing it in IMAX 3d.

If it is half as good as the book, I will love it.

Definitely worth admission. The movie differs from the book, but it works.

                            *slightly spoilerish*

Cruise "its in my blood. That means I can transfer it"
Angel of verdun "I've tried it. It doesn't work"
Cruise "Have you tried .. You know.. *thrust motion* all the options? "
Angel of verdun "You mean sex... Yes. It doesn't work."
                            Cruise "How many times"?

There's actually a cam copy on Torrents that I downloaded last night. Made the mistake of trying to watch it while I was laying in bed and didn't go to sleep till sometime after 2.

That was a funny line BTW. Movie does differ from the book but doesn't take away from it. The Mimic's sorta remind me of the sentinels from The Matrix unlike the book that says they were derived from starfish. Pretty good movie and I plan on catching it at the theater this weekend in IMAX.

I just realized Bill Paxton is the Master Sergeant Farell.
