New 'Pirates' movie...

This was an ok movie. It was long as hell though. Plotline was mediocre and the whole little mermaid arc, so it seemed, was corny. I'd say this ones a renter if you're bored.

The difference in this "Pirates of the Caribbean" and the others is that this one is based off a book rather than an original story. It was adapted to follow along with the "Pirates of the Caribbean" in some ways but only retained 3 of the major characters from the original films.

Do not go into this with the expectations of "Pirates of the Caribbean" but rather of just a movie about pirates that has Depp in it and you shouldn't be disappointed.

That wouldn't take much.

I was told that The Tourist was good. As soon as Jolie got the note to "find somebody my build on the train"(re: first 10 minutes), I said that Depp is the real guy. And then had to stick around for another 2 hrs(or however long it is).
