  • AMC might ruin another comic book I love.

I don't know if anyone else has read Preacher, but it might end up on AMC, and it might star Seth Rogan. Please god, no.

'Preacher' Comic May Turn Into AMC Show Starring Seth Rogen

    By Colin Daileda

AMC's next huge show could come from yet another comic book. The TV network that brought you The Walking Dead has reportedly ordered the pilot episode for a series based on Preacher, a supernatural tale from DC Comics.

Preacher details the gritty life of Jesse Custer, a small-town religious figure who is possessed by the offspring of an angel and a demon named Genesis, filling him with a mix of pure good and evil. When the unnatural spirit was born, God abandoned Heaven and creation, and now this Texas preacher is off to find him.
    Boooooooo!

He does have a pretty limited schtick. He is one of those guys that is funny in a limited supporting role, but not a main character. He was great in Paul, but of course you never actually saw him in that movie, and when you've got Simon Pegg and Nick Frost backing you up, well, it's hard to screw up.

I've honestly tried to like him, but to no avail. Simon Pegg renewed my faith in British humor after "Sean of the dead" and "Hot Fuzz". I will still drop whatever I'm doing to watch either of those even though I have them on Blu-Ray.

Have you seen The Worlds End yet? NOT This is the End. The Worlds End is the end of the "trilogy" of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. And it is seriously the funniest movie I've seen in a year, at LEAST, and I watch a ton of movies. Simon Pegg knocked it out of the park. The dialogue is just unbelievably well written and delivered. It's up on amazon streaming, don't think it is out on bluray yet.

I can't give it enough praise. I usually try to restrain my reviews a bit because obviously everyone has different tastes. But god, it was fucking hilarious. It was like they got into my head, figured out my sense of humor exactly, and wrote this movie around it.

Pretty much this. I was in pain after watching it.
