It is no where near as cheesy as FnF. A lot more/better racing. Some cool cars, great sound mixing and editing. My only real complaint is the crash scenes/car acrobatics lack realism. Carbon fiber monocoque cars essentially shrapnel on high speed impact. Beyond that hiccup, this was a highly entertaining movie that was fun.

Definitely. I would say the F&F movies were funnier(and I'm not talking about unintentionally). The dialogue was rudimentary at best, Keaton's character was both poorly written and executed. Couple of amusing bits, and very derivative of other car movies from the past.

However, it gets BIG points for not having any CGI with the cars. BIG BIG points. The car action was well filmed, with some great backgrounds. If you own a new 5.0 you're probably going to want to go beat on it like a mofo after watching this. I know there are quite a few elevenses spread all over North Arlington that still smell fresh. I'd recommend it. Much better than that pile of shit with the Shelby that was released last year.

yea, it's cool that it wasn't all CGI but a bit of cgi might have helped add some realism to the car flipping scenes. the models looked like a walter white roof pizza special flying through the air.

So CGI has been around so long that a,real car in a real crash or flip looks wrong?

haha, agreed. They should have taken some cues from Death Proof there.

So is the movie worthy of theatre money or wait for blu ray rental?

It was right on the edge of being worth it. I don't regret paying $7.25 to see some cool car stuff for 2 hours.

It was decent i'm sure we will see a sequel to it. Redline was better imo.

That was one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

Saw it yesterday, I thought it was a pretty decent car movie. Plenty of fast action driving and sliding. Almost made me decide to pull the hurt motor out of mine after sitting dormant for just over 2 years.

I saw it yesterday, ya it's goofy, and ya the acting is second rate. But I'd say the racing and driving parts more than make up for it. That and the sound of that mustang is just sick! The backdrops are beautiful and the little British chick is pretty funny.
What surprised me the most is by the end of the film I was in love with the 2015 mustang. Really didn't see that happening, but It's a damn good looking car.

i really liked this movie. i think most of it was how much they actually used the sound of the cars instead playing music over them.

Came out on bluray today. After a second watching I like it a lot more. Certainly one of the better car centric movies to come out in recent memory.

Dammit, I hate to say it, but I agree with Talisman, again. The first 20 minutes or so are terrible, but after that it's pretty enjoyable. When the girl is talking about the engine in the Cobra I wanted to throw shit at the screen, but other than that...not bad. The last race is actually pretty fucking sweet and true to a video game based movie.

                                That was retarded.

But other than that, I like it.
