Saw the trailer for this last night and was about to post a thread. I'm excited about this!

It was unbelievably bad. It obviously had a premise, but the whole thing was just a snapshot on a shit storm. It was all just a big pointless setup to illustrate a particularly gruesome method of execution the cartel apparently uses. That's not a story. Fuuuuuuck! I really wanted to like it, but I was given zero choice in the matter.

Nope. Cameron Diaz starts to make a pass at Penelope Cruz, and PC just clams up. Cameron Diaz is the worst part of the movie, by the way. Don't get me wrong. She appears to dive into the role with abandon, she just can't shake her valley-girl accent, so she comes off like the bad version of her Charlie's Angels character.

I thought Cameron Diaz was lovely.



Some pretty strong scenes, and I thought they did a decent job showing how quickly things can escalate, even without much cause - but they could have tied things together better for sure.

I agree, it was bad. I was expecting some big shoot out ending, to make up for a boring story but no, nothing.
