I agree with this. I've never really cared for her acting or personality anyway, but she was definitely the weak link in the film.

Some pretty strong scenes, and I thought they did a decent job showing how quickly things can escalate, even without much cause - but they could have tied things together better for sure.

lmfao at the pic. The Ferrari California scene and his confusion and disturbance recounting it was spectacularly layered.

I guess you guys have never read any Cormac McCarthy or seen his other movies based on books? This was perfect. Violence surrounded by the philosophical vagaries of those involved in it with some fucked up situations in the middle. It wasn't the greatest movie ever made but it was definitely watchable. I thought it was pretty good, and I think I would probably like it more if I saw it again, though it isn't a movie I would want to see over and over like No Country For Old Men. It certainly deserves more credit than I'm seeing it given.

I've read a ton of Cormac McCarthy, and I don't see what you're seeing. The idea that there's some crazy big bad doom coming down on everything, and showing how inescapable it is for the characters involved is an awesome mechanism to revolve a plot around, and the film doesn't deliver on it. It's just scene after scene of them telling you what they're going to do, then doing just that. There's no mystery to it at all.
ZOMBIE REAGAN FOR PRESIDENT 2016!!! heh
