Kinda sorta. With Lumen it would be alot more open and intimant.

True but Jimmy Smitz wasn't "Born in blood." He just got tired of all the bullshit in the justice system. Lumens motives would be more pure. Plus, I don't think they've established wether or not she wants to continue this after they find the guys that raped her. Also, it looks like she's let Dexter take over and understands she's a little careless to do it on her own after the gun fiasco.

I actually agree with Steve and poop. She is a victim. The DA wasn't a victim, just tired of seeing the justice system fail. With Lumen, it is about justice, but it's much more personal. I foresee Lumen becoming a permanent player in the story line.

And she does play that role really well, too. Not really a fan of the movies she has been in, but she does a great job on Dexter.

The dirty cop is starting to intrigue me more than the Lumen story line. He is going to keep pushing the issue, with, or without Quinn. And so far, Dexter doesn't have a clue that either one have been digging in to him

It almost looks like Quinn is thinking Robocop is taking this too far as well. Maybe it has something to do with dating Deb and thinking twice about starting shit with her.

I bet Robocop gets too close and Dexter handles up on his bidnez.

I've been avoiding this thread until I could go back and watch the episode.
So many good story lines going in this season. They are playing out the Lumen relationship very well.
Does anyone else get the feeling season 5 will be the end?

How are ratings? I have noticed a lot of the stars in Dexter are starting to do movies and stuff. I don't want it to end, but I'd rather it go out in a blaze of glory than it start getting crappy.

Nooooooooo! Don't say that! This is one of the few shows I look forward to seeing every week.

NBC stopped showing Heros for some insane reason. Weeds and Big Love don't start until January. *sigh*

Heroes was on a horrible downward spiral. Claire going lesbo was jumping the shark hardcore. Although it was nice seeing tits McGee from Californication/The Nanny. Yes, she was the little daughter in The Nanny.

Uh, Weeds started a while back, and this Monday was the last episode of the season just fyi.

Yeah, I know. But they were just showing commericals for the new season in January. This season is over..bah! You know the point I'm making. lol.

I'm struggling to still like Boardwalk Empire. I love gangster movies/shows. I was a big Sopranos fan until it started getting all soft with the therapy and ducks crap.

Empire seems to be all over the place and not have a direction to it.

From what I have read this season has had the strongest ratings. I just know showtime hasn't announced picking it up for a sixth season yet.
Dexter is the only TV series I have ever watched every episode of.

                              *Edit*
I did find this while trying to find the answer to your ratings question:

Fans needn’t worry though: because of its strong ratings, “Dexter” will most likely return for another year. And, when it does, E! has learned, it will have an entirely different pace and rhythm than it has now.

“Season six would definitely not look like it did this year because the events are all different,” showrunner Chip Johannesson explains for the same media outlet.

Oh, I didn't realize it was coming back that soon. That's odd. A 2 month hiatus before the new season? Very strange.

Boardwalk has direction, IMO. It's just a lot more subtle than what you're probably used to. Everything seems to be building up to a new big event, but that's another thread.
