Did one of these for a top 50 list not too long ago. I should have put a bit more time and thought into it, but the top 10 were pretty much unchanged.

      Rush - Permanent Waves
      Porcupine Tree - In Absentia
      Dredg - El Cielo
      Tom Waits - Swordfishtrombones
      Joy Division - Closer
      Pink Floyd - Animals
      Television - Marquee Moon
      Primus - Frizzle Fry
Explosions in the Sky - The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place
      Depeche Mode - Black Celebration

Just got home from Tesla, but so far I imagine I would get along with the first few posters. Except geor, because he didn't go with me

          God bless.

I bought four today. I'm not sure the numbers, but I can't imagine more than 10% of the population regularly buy them anymore. It's sad, really.

I download most but have purchased all the ones on my list. Some albums are worth buying, most are not. Especially these days.

Ernest Tubb - The Complete Live 1965 Show

This is a 2 disc true love album recorded at the Spanish Castle in 1965. Not to be confused with the "Live 1965" album which is not a true live album.

A top ten would be difficult for me to compile, but there is NO DOUBT this would be in it.

This... I can't even count the number of times that I bought an albumn for one song and ended loving the entire album or having another song become my favorite.

<--- still digs through the used CD section, cheaper than buying MP3s.
