  • Dropping big TV providers

Im tired of paying $95 for two satellite boxes, just to watch 3-5 channels FX, USA, AMC, Cartoon Network, and Fox Sports Southwest. The only reason why I haven't cut Dish is because I watch Rangers, Mavs, and Stars games.

Anyone know of a Fox Sports online streaming package? Even if I buy MLB + NBA + NHL + NFL it would still be cheaper every year versus $95/month.

DirecTV for me is $55/mo with DVR and extra box in the bedroom.

I'll never go to Fios/Uverse/Cable ever again...never had a single problem with these guys.

I'm dropping the TV portion of my Fios today. Tired of paying $200+/month.

But to answer your question, no. I read somewhere that McCain was trying to introduce a bill that forces cable providers to offer a price per channel package, but I don't know that it will pass. I'm out on cable TV until either that happens, or Google Fiber comes to DFW.

I think Ill just drop Dish, pay $50 for MLB.tv and be fine for a few months. Torrents will handle the rest.

Their retention department offered me a hopper with sling, a regular hopper and two joeys for free to stick around. Also knocked $20 off a month for 10 months. If it weren't for baseball though I'd be using an antenna.

I use the Roku 3 for all that jazz. It always works and streams in 1080p (if available through the broadcast).
