Plot Summary:Starring Metallica, a cast of thousands of their fans and breakout star Dane DeHaan ("Chronicle," "The Amazing Spider-Man 2"), "Metallica Through the Never" is written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Nimrd Antal ("Predators," "Kontroll") and produced by former IMAX film producer Charlotte Huggins ("Journey to the Center of the Earth"). The film marries groundbreaking footage and editing techniques with a compelling narrative, in which a band crew member (played by DeHaan) is sent out on a mission during Metallica's roaring live set in front of a sold-out arena. While on this mission, he unexpectedly has his life turned completely upside down.

Perhaps it's just because I'm old and don't get these cryptic trailers. I have no idea what this movie is about. Looks like nothing more than a 3D concert with a weak plot thrown into the mix.

If it were pre-black album I'd be all over it. I've already seen them in 3D for their Master of Puppets, And Justice... and black album tours. Only went to the third one because I knew they still had old shit to play. This to me looks like that hideous Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park movie.

I doubt it will appeal to anyone but hardcore Metallica fans. And half of them will think it sucks. If it's good, I'll always regret not seeing it in IMAX 3D. So I'm gonna pay $20 and see it. I hope they crank that shit up!

It's loud in the IMAX theaters. At least the one I go to is. Explosions shake up the seats.

It can't compare to seeing them live though. I think the visual will be the coolest. I'm looking forward to it.
