Just caught 6 episodes on the DVR this weekend, anyone else seen this show? It goes inside the lives of Airforce PJ's in Khandahar, Afghanistan. 40 cameras catch their daily missions for the first time.

The show is pretty good, it really gives you a glimpse of what these guys go through on a daily basis. I have major respect for what these guys put themselves through.

I would have liked more than 6 episodes but it's a damn good show. You see these guys and what they do on a day to day basis, what they see, and what we don't see. I couldn't help to get a little watery eyed when they start to break down emotionally.

I find some of the medical procedures very interesting. I've never heard of an IO until I watched the show and holy shit, that must be painful.

You would be correct. Unless the dude is almost unconscious or paralyzed, that shit hurts.

No drilling, just jammed a big ass needle into his shoulder.

I haven't seen the show but yes they drill a hole, usually below the knee, when IV access cannot be obtained to give blood/fluids.

Same here. I was like WTF then did some research. The advances in in-the-field trauma care are nothing short of amazing.
