I liked the movie OK. I personally thought it should have been 2 movies. One based at the school and then the second one when he gets promoted. I'm sure it was a tough movie to do because Card really left a lot of the imagery to your imagination, and much of the book was about the turmoil in Ender's mind. Overall though I enjoyed it.

My brother randomly texted me saying he doesn't recommend it. He reads a lot but I'm not sure if he ever read THAT book. I know nothing about the story. Seeing a kid and a bunch of warships in the preview though makes me think the kid is some sort of war strategy prodigy.

If they aren't going to make the next 4 books into movies then this movie doesn't make much sense... It's not a stand alone book AT ALL.

Children of the mind ends out the Ender quintet. I've read a few of the shadow series as well. Shadow of the giant and shadow of the hegemon. Both are good as well.

The problem is

SPOILER ALERT...............

the sister was suppose to go with him at the end. They fucked the ending up from the book so dont know how they could do the rest of the books. Plus if I remember right he only finds an egg the egg speaks to him not a single alien while I enjoyed the movie they did mess up key things and like said eariler, it should have been 2 movies. It would have helped. my 2 cents

Exactly. Her simply not going with him at the end changes EVERYTHING... I have no idea how they'd continue without her. Was Peter even in the movie? And yeah he carried the queen egg for "thousands of years" if I remember correctly.

Peter was for all of 2 scenes towars the begining when he is still on earth before he goes to battle school. He is a big part of everything also so it was stupid they left him out should have been 2 movies

Battle school should have been its own movie. They cut years off battle the battle school parts.
