Watched the premiere of Top of the Lake on Sundance channel yesterday, was pretty good, seems to have some potential. It has a similar pacing and story line to The Killing, hopefully without as much blatant misdirection.
It takes place in Australia, and a 12 year old girl living w/ her white trash daddy and 3 uncle-brothers winds up prego and then goes missing. There is also a group of 6 female sex addicts (all hideous) living in shipping containers in the mix somehow. Check it out if you're looking for a new show.
Also - in April they have another show coming called Rectify from "the producers of Breakking Bad" They showed several different trailers during the other show, and they all gave a different feel - looks like it could be good as well.
