Ep 8: mild spoilers: Prez and his wife are having a tiff with each other at a dinner party with Frank and Claires townhouse. F&C have orchestrated them going on the outs, and while the President and his wife are subtly fighting with each other, Frank and Claire are responding to the fight with nothing but facial expressions that are even more subtle, yet somehow simultaneously brimming over with absolute glee at what they've done, ultimately looking at each other like 2 satisfied cats. It might have been the very best piece of acting I have ever seen, period.

Figured the ending pretty early, and it delivered. Last episode wasn't really shocking the way some of the others were. That was probably my only complaint about the first season, is that the finale doesn't feel like a finale even though something major has happened. Great show regardless, just uneven some times.
