All of the trailers were fakes. That was the closest to real that I could find. There was another, but was quickly taken down for copyright infringements.

The original script wasnt the book, It was in the style of the book. The studios were afraid that the interviews would be confusing so it was revised to a be a multifilm prequal starring Pitt.

Pitt never wanted to be in the movie. He wanted to produce it, but when the movie wasnt picked up by any studios, Pitt agreed to star so the movie could go forwatd and not habe the rights revert back to Brooks

Brooks said he was ok with fast zombies but I think we were all thinking '04 dawn of the dead / 28days latter fast zombies not faster than Usan Bolt zombies

Even still a sprinting target ala 04 Dawn of the Dead equals death of the human race. At least in 28 days later they didn't require headshots since they were still "alive". Dawn of the Dead zombies required headshots.

Headshots on a sprinting target at close range under high stress= you are dead.
