You make a good point. IMHO, she's WAY too emotional to be an effective cop. She would be much better if she had an edge to her. Admittedly, her capping Maria like that show's some balls.

Dexter is one of my all-time favorite shows, but I have to say a couple of the episodes this season sucked, especially the second to the last. I thought the finale was okay, but it left me with far less "OH SHIT!" than any of the previous seasons.

I was a little disappointed with the way they did the Maria thing. Since she was shot center mass they could have made it a little more gruesome to where she was able to gurgle some sort of "Rolo Tomassi" last words or something. She died like any actress would on a daytime soap.

I think the next season is going to be all about controversy and speculation. Maria tries to frame Dexter and then ends up dead. People are going to start to wonder. Especially since Dexter and sister showed up at the new years party together after Maria was killed off.

Dexters acceptance that he was the one who should have been shot I think is something to keep in mind. He was looking out for Deb, but he did offer himself up...
