Check out the book "Dies the Fire". Similar premise and I bet it's better than this show. I bet you'd dig it. I'm gonna try out the show because of it anyway.
I found the show pretty soulless, especially the first half. I didnt care if any of the characters lived.
The action in the bar was ok
I'll overlook the rampant vegetation for the sake of the apocalyptic feel
The no energy for 15 years premise is dumb. It got even dumber with the magic usb drives
No firearms because its against the warlord's law, or being a soldier was too much of a trope.
Why wasnt there any steam power, when fire, gunpowder, and stills still worked? That made the show was look like it wasnt trying to be anything but a generic knights of the post-apocalyptic wasteland show

Kind of what I was getting at. The world looked nothing like the show prior to electricity. It just comes off as nonsense to me.

What's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?

Voting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.
Well I'll watch it tonight and let you guys know, I thought it was a cool concept but hell I liked Terra Nova so I probably have bad taste in TV shows. LOL

Damn, man. Sorry to hear that. If it'll cheer you up, Geor swallows. And even if it doesn't cheer you up, it cheers him up.
