Well I finally watched it since it is on netflix. The premise of N Korea invading is still rediculous, however it was much better than I expected. Acting was better than I thought it would be, action scenes were decent, and they even had good trigger discipline most of the time which I was impressed with. It was overall OK, but I probably won't watch it again and I am still glad I did not pay for it.

The original was pretty much a turd when it came out. It was really no different than Roadhouse, that other Swayze turd. Anyway, I think the overall quality of action movies has declined so much in the last 30 years that the original has actually improved with age. Has anyone paid attention to the stupid shit they are putting in these "action" movies these days? Did anyone see, oh I don't know, let's say the fucking A TEAM? I saw it. Red Dawn is like Citizen Kane in comparison.
