Finally got around to seeing this. Badass movie! Probably the best flick I've seen in awhile.

Completely serious. I liked the unusual setting, the premise, and the execution and frequent security cam footage cuts. Everyone else hated it? I didn't really read many reviews, but I thought it did really well at the box office.

Just did some poking around on the imdb, and it was nominated for a Best Picture Oscar and grossed well over 100 million at the box office. Sounds like it was popular to me.

Hell, it actually got better reviews than I thought. I know that the general concensus around here (old site) was that it sucked. Like I said, I enjoyed the second half. I actually fell asleep for the first half. I went and saw it right after getting off of work though.

World wide or just the states? I dont remember it being at the theatres very long at all.

I couldnt take it after an hour, I fell asleep off and on through the first half as well. What did I miss in the second half? Never had the desire to finish it.

I've heard people describe it as a movie you'll either love or hate. I'm in the latter category. One of the shittiest "good" movies I've ever seen.

I thought the movie was fantastic.

It was an amazing film for being low budget and not a hollywood flick. I really did like how it had undertones of the struggles in South Africa as a foundation for its plot. It was extremely refreshing to have that instead of another fucking spin on the war on terror and interrogation techniques of the CIA.

The movie really had an excellent "Half Life 2" vibe to it.

I am so glad I didn't go that route. But thats just my opinion. I am sure I have thought other movies were good while others thought it wasn't.
