I don't know, I need more of a review than that; the preview looks pretty cheesy.

It does Cus of riahna . But even she wasn't bad. Funny as Hell. Exciting . Action. See it just for the nod to the navy retired. A really subtle but cool reference to the game battleship.

Uhhh just can not make myself want to see it. Wasnt the last battleship decomissioned in the early 90s?

Yes its based off the game, but still. Seeing Liam Neesom say load everything just annoys me....

His role was small dude. Like that's probly a third of his role.

Saw the movie and thought it was great. I was also hesitant to watch it as the premise seemed very iffy, but I was impressed with the story line and the battle sequences. Very nice homage to the navy, especially to our WW2 vets. As far as Battleships being decommissioned, that plays a major role in the film. I won't reveal any more details of the movie, but if you enjoy action movies that involve our armed forces, I think you'll appreciate this one.

After the blasting it got on Rotten Tomatoes and AintItCool, I've been hesitant to see it myself.

Really the only thing that felt rehashed was the "spinning" disk things that attacked the base. That whole scene felt alot like the scene at the beginning of Transformers where the decepticon's attacked the base in Iraq/Afghanistan. Other than that, it was mostly original.

One other fact that I also liked alot, one of the main characters in the movie was an injured veteran who lost both legs. He had a very prominent role in the movie, and was a subtle tribute to all our injured vets.

Overall, the movie was better than I expected. If you go into it thinking that it's going to be a deep plot driven drama fest, then you'll be highly disappointed. If you are looking for some good action, good special effects, and a heart-felt salute to our armed forces, then I think you'll enjoy this flick. At least I did.
