One book that shouldn't have been made into a movie was, in my opinion, A Clockwork Orange. No disrespect intended toward Stanley Kubrick of course.

Armor would make a cool movie. I don't think they could make a good Enders game. Kids that young usually cant act.

        Dark tower sucks IMO.

I wish they would continue any of the Dune Series.
Mostly I want to see the early books, Butlerian Jihad, Machine Crusade, and Battle for Corrin. (would love to see Norma go from ugly as hell to statuesque Bene Gesserit)

CWO was an EXCELLENT book, and I think Kubrick did as much with it as could possibly be expected. I can't imagine a better film ever being made out of that book.

He's just going to reuse scenes out of Transformers and Armageddon.

The characters and their setting were done in top-notch fashion, which would be expected from a director as great as Kubrick, but it's almost impossible to convey the Nadsat-speak that is so central to the book adequately in a movie.

One of your other suggestions, The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test, I would agree might make a good movie. I've only read the book once, and that was probably 30 years ago, but I still remember it and have always liked reading Ken Kesey and about his life.

Wholeheartedly agree with the nadsat. Came off somewhat weird but believable in the book, just did not voice well at all.

Yeah, I didn't think I was going to be able to get far reading it after I started, but about 30 pages in it somehow clicked in my head and I understood everything they were talking about. Need to reread it one of these days if I can ever clear my backlog. Brilliant book.

I really want to see an adaptation of the books from the Sprawl Trilogy (Neuromancer, Count Zero, Mona Lisa Overdrive). I know it's been "in the works" as of several years ago, hopefully some develops. And hopefully that something is better than what they did with Johnny Mnemonic.

I'd also like to see any of Neal Stephenson's brilliance in movie form. Namely Cryptonomicon or Diamond Age.

When the movie was first released it was given an "X" rating, a stigma almost always reserved at that time for pron, LOL
