if you have not watched it , you are missing out bro. I like the story telling so far. I was never really a Green Arrow fan back in the day as a kid. I stuck with Superman, Batman, etc. Green Arrow always seemed lame to me for whatever reason. After watching first 3 episodes, I had to go google Green Arrow to get some background so I would know more about what is going on.

Usually in new tv shows you get the full back story all at once, but the writers have broken it up thru out each episode. So you get snippets of Oliver Queens time away on the island. I think there will be more revealing of Queen's transition to Arrow in season 2. I find it really intriguing.

I think Stephen Amell was a good choice for the Arrow character..I was not familiar with the actor at all, but I like him in this role. The guy that played Arrow on Smallville did a good job, but I don't think he would have fit as well in this new series. IMO this series has a dark, serious undertone to it along the lines of what Nolan did with Batman trilogy.

I never go into Smallville till around season 7 and spent a lot of time catching up on previous seasons. if you liked Smallvillle, i will bet you will like this series. The writing has been great so far with providing back stories, character development, interpersonal relationship developments between various characters, and foreshadowing about possible future story lines and good action/fight sequences.

I still haven't watched this series but it sounds like they're going all out with season 2.

Over the past few weeks we've heard a lot from the cast and crew of Arrow suggesting that the second season of The CW's hit superhero show will see the introduction of several big name characters from the pages of DC Comics - some of which, according to leading man Stephen Amell, are "like more familiar than Green Arrow." Now, during an interview with Flicks and the City, new season two regular Colton Haynes (Teen Wolf) has reiterated that, as well as narrowing down the list of possible contenders considerably.

"There's going to be some new characters, I'm sure you guys have read, that are going to be joining, some very very well known characters that have been in prior movies so I think it's going to be exciting to see," states Haynes, who plays the character Roy Harper. "I think it's going to be exciting to see who they cast as those people or if they can get some of the people from the actual movies that have played them."

Now, we know that any and all characters relating to Batman and Superman are off-limits to the show's producers for the foreseeable future, so don't expect to see Henry Cavill donning the cape for a small screen cameo. Looking beyond that, the only character with recent movie experience who could be described as better-known than Green Arrow is that of Hal Jordan, a.k.a. Green Lantern, who was portrayed by Ryan Reynolds back in the 2011 movie.

Adding some credence to the possibility is the fact that executive producer Marc Guggenheim (who happened to script Green Lantern alongside fellow Arrow producer Greg Berlanti) included a nod to Ferris Air in the season one finale of Arrow, and has previously spoken about the possibility of introducing the Hal Jordan: "[A Green Lantern appearance] is certainly something that we've talked about. As with all DC characters, we have to figure out a way for those characters to fit within our Arrow universe, but when you consider the importance that Hal Jordan plays in the Green Arrow comics, it's certainly one of those names that we've discussed a great deal. I have Ryan Reynolds' phone number around here somewhere."

Naturally it remains to be seen whether Reynolds would be interested in reprising the role for the small screen, or indeed, whether Warner Bros. would allow the show's producers to tie the series into its fledgling DC movie universe. Still, there's always the option of going with another Green Lantern such as John Stewart, Guy Gardner or even the New 52's Simon Baz...

Glee's Grant Gustin has been cast as Barry Allen, better known as The Flash, for Arrow's second season...and beyond!

FLASH FACT! The CW has found their Flash. Grant Gustin will play the role of Barry Allen during the second season of The CW's Arrow. The 23 year old Gustin had a recurring role on Glee, as well as the 90210 reboot.

Arrow will see Barry Allen in his traditional role as a forensic scientist, described as an "assistant police forensic investigator who arrives in Starling to look into a series of unexplained robberies that may have a connection to a tragedy in his past." The official announcement goes on to descibe Barry as "a comic book fan boy...obsessed with the Arrow, unaware that working with Oliver and Felicity to solve the crime has brought him right into the dangerous world of the vigilante."

Barry Allen will be introduced in Arrow season 2 episodes 8 and 9, which will air this fall or early winter. He will then appear in episode 20 (to be directed by David Nutter, who also directed the Arrow pilot) in the spring, which will serve as a back-door pilot for a solo Flash series that will start in 2014. So, we still have a while to wait before we see Flash in all his glory, but he's definitely coming!

When the Flash TV series was first announced back in July, Arrow showrunner Andrew Kreisberg assured fans that Barry "will wear a red costume and will go by [The Flash]," adding that he isn't "a dark and tortured soul." Regarding the recent announcement, Kreisberg said, "It'll be fun to see these two characters together because they both have distinctly different world views, while both caring very deeply about what is right and wrong."

If nothing else, comic fans should be pleased with the specifics about Barry's character. The "tragedy in his past" likely refers to the unsolved murder of Barry's mother, a relatively recent addition to the Flash mythos, which writer Geoff Johns attributed to Flash arch-foe, Professor Zoom. Since Geoff Johns is co-writing all three Barry Allen episodes of Arrow (with Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg), it's probably a safe bet that there will be hints of Flash's greatest foe hidden throughout! The idea of Barry as "a comic book fan boy" is nothing new, as in his very first appearance (way back in Showcase #4 in 1956), he was inspired to put on a costume and call himself The Flash by reading old comic books about...The Flash!

The DC Television Universe is certainly expanding faster than their cinematic one, and we'll be all over this story like lightning until it hits screens!

The first season was so so for me, but I toughed it out. The second season has kept me wanting more every episode. Should be introducing flash in 2-3 more episodes.
