          Lots of good movies mentioned. About the only thing I can add is a movie called The Divide staring Michael Biehn.

          Survivors of a nuclear attack are grouped together for days in the basement of their apartment building, where fear and dwindling supplies wear away at their dynamic.
          Haven't seen it yet but it looks interesting. Need to find a copy of it to watch online.

              It was a British mini-series made at a time when nuclear war seemed inevitable. It is available on Google video last time I checked.

              The story follows a couple of groups of people trying to live life in post-atomic England. Struggling for food, a generation of illiterate children are raised, farm equipment fails, babies are stillborn and mutated...

              It is worth checking out.
