I've always had a special place in my heart for movies about the cities abandoned/end of society... 28 days later, i am legend, road warrior, etc... Anyone have some good recommendations? I'd like to find some more.
Carriers - not a lot of action, but I think its well done.
Doomsday
Waterworld - I always liked this movie The Postman - another post-apocalyptic movie with Kevin Costner The Stand - mini-series based on the Stephen King novel, not great but decent Deep Impact - Only the end of the movie is real post-apocalyptic, but still one of my favorites.
I also have a weird affinity to post-apocalyptic movies and books. Something appealing about all of society being gutted and one person, or a handful of people left to pick themselves out of the ashes and make do.
There was a TV show called Jericho that made it into
The second season before being cancelled. I think it's on Netflix streaming, I really liked it. There is also a current show called The Colony which is decent
Very good as well, very Orwellian. And on that note, 1984 is a good one.
Logan's Run comes to mind.
The Last Man on Earth is the original screen adaptation of "I Am Legend" and follows the book very closely, and stars Vincent Price. Slow at times but I like it.
The Day After was a TV Movie about nuclear war that comes to mind.
Dr. Strangelove is a classic Nuclear War movie.
I don't like Republicans, but I really FUCKING hate Democrats.
Sex with an Asian woman is great, but 30 minutes later you're horny again.
