Because it wasnt really about them at all. It was about the engineers and them toying with genetic manipulation.


Just finished watching it again but this time in Imax. Battery is running low, so ill give my review when I get home.

Saw it yesterday in IMAX 3D. Cinematography was impressive, loved the fact that they didn't overdue the 3D and it really added to the movie. I thought the story could have been stronger and left me with a lot of questions. Sure seems like this was setup for a sequel so it'll be interesting to see what Ridley Scott does next.

or perhaps Predators hunted them too? perhaps the xenomorph may have been their experimental bio-weapon to destroy the Predator threat?

Remember, there are two "races" of Predator to deal with...the "hunters" and the "killers". (The "killers" were introduced in "Predators"....and in the comics they have xenomorphs somewhat domesticated so they can use them as a hunting dog of some sort).

Weyland-Yutani was the corporation that manufactured the UA 57-D Ground Sentry, which was an anti-aircraft emplacement used at the Battle of Serenity Valley.

Weyland-Yutani corporation also happened to own the ship Nostromo in Alien, and the colony in Aliens.

Weyland-Yutani also happens to be one of the companies represented by Wolfram & Hart in Angel (As seen in the Episode "Harm's Way.")

I saw it in Imax at Northpark the day after the hail storm. I thought it was a pretty good movie.....but it definitely brought more questions for me.

They're just Easter eggs, they have nothing to do with the actual storyline. The ship was probably done as a nod at Wheddon, who wrote alien: resurrection; which by the way was a very shitty movie and firefly. Wheddon also wrote for the Angel series.

Scott has said that anything else created after the alien franchise has nothing to do with his movies.
